Visit Piazzale Michelangelo, Take a Walk to Porta Romana and Relax in Bobolino.

Just outside of Porta Romana (Roman Gate), on both sides of Viale Machiavelli, where it climbs up the hill, lies one of Florence’s most charming public parks: Bobolino. The name takes inspiration from the nearby Boboli Gardens. Bobolino is a hanging garden dotted with small fountains, fish ponds and mysterious caves. Here, you can sit on strategically placed benches and lose yourself among the flower beds.
The famous Villa Cora Hotel where Empress Eugenie and the Russian composer Tchaikovsky once stayed is located in the heart of the gardens. To fully immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere, we recommend listening to Symphony No.5.
