Lorenzo the Magnificent….prankster

It is said that despite his nickname, Lorenzo ‘de Medici was not that good-looking; yet, he was such a lively and charismatic person, he was called “the Magnificent”. When he talked, his face was so expressive his company was irresistible. As a good Tuscan himself, he was also prone to pranks. The most famous one starred a physician who was used to drink a little too much. One night Lorenzo and his friends met the physician who was drunker than usual. Lorenzo had the idea to hide the man in a house in the countryside and tell everybody he was dead. Rumors reached everyone and the physician’s wife got terribly scared when his husband went back home, alive.
