Mohawk Trail State Forest is a Massachusetts state forest located in the towns of Charlemont, Hawley, and Savoy. The rustic 6,400-acre (2,600 ha) forest of mountain ridges, gorges, and old-growth forests has elevations ranging from around 600 to 2,080 feet. It has two main rivers, the Deerfield River and the Cold River, and several small streams in which live a variety of trout. Other wildlife that may be seen include deer, bobcats, and black bears. The forest is named for the old Mohawk Trail (now Route 2), a Native American footpath that connected the Hudson and Connecticut River valleys. The forest is managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.Este post também está disponível em: Inglês Italiano Francês Espanhol Alemão Russo
