Museum of Energy and Technology (Lithuanian: Energetikos ir technikos muziejus) is an institution dedicated to researching and presenting the industrial heritage of Lithuania, history of energetic system of Lithuania and history of Vilnius city. It is housed in the former Vilnius Power Plant. The museum is the largest technical museum in Lithuania on a site of 5000 sq m.There are seven regular exhibitions in the museum: Exhibition of energetics Transport exhibition Exhibition of Vilnius industry Exhibition Made in Vilnius” Exhibitions of interactive science Exhibition “Gas in Lithuania” Exhibition “Energy of sun and wind”Two rooms in the museum are aimed at children and feature interactive games which illustrate aspects of science. These use both English and Lithuanian text.Opened in 1903, it was the first power plant in Vilnius. The power plant equipment includes steam turbines, generators, steam boilers, water pumps, pipelines and a control panel.”
